Thanks to Spike and his U11's for their great attitude in the match and tournament at Harlequins on Sunday - I felt we let you down in our final match against Battersea because we were a physically small team with many new to the game this season. Some players despite their best efforts ran out of steam and became demoralised because they were too tired to compete. We simply couldn't play as hard against Battersea as we did against you, (although you still thrashed us). To my mind you were the best team in our group and set a great standard of rugby and behaviour both on and off the park. Please tell your lads that they played our "A" team while Batersea played "A" then "B" team to give all our players match experience (not that there was any great difference between our A and B teams on the day). A compliment to yourselves and your club and a pleasure to knock heads with. Phil BHRFC U11's coach

I live in West Dulwich and have looked into supporting the Old Alleynians for some time, but have not been able to attend any games due to work and other commitments, however I would very much still like to come along and support the team and was wondering where I could get hold of a supporters shirt????
Shirts can be obtained from the club most Sunday mornings during the season between 10:30 and 12:00 or email me (Ditch Boultbee) use entry 43 in the guest book.

A very fair match report and a good account of a very exciting game played under difficult conditions. Good luck for the rest of the season.

Hi My son was a founder member of the Mini section, however due to moving house he played at OA for only one season. This has truly ignited his passion for rugby. A big thank you to Ditch for the 'taster session' at the Dulwich Country Fayre. Tom has grown a little, he is now 6'3'', and enjoys playing second row for Moseley U14's. Many thanks again. Got to reminiscing over the Christmas holiday about some old clubs I played with back in the day, and found you here on the net. I played back in 1988-89, and I would guess I was one of the few Americans to play with your club. I believe the OA's were top of the table in "Area League South", back then, and as I remember made the final 16 in the Twickenham 7's as well. I worked my way up from the 8th side to the 2nd XV, but couldn't go any further as I wasn't an Old Boy. Went on to play with Blackheath and Rosslyn Park after that, but have some great memories of playing with y'all in Dulwich. Doesn't look as you have as many sides these days, but good to see the club doing well. Still have an old jersey, but it seems to have shrunk in the wash (!) and I would be interested in some gear if you have a shop. All the best, Eric Raney Louisville, KY.
Following Romsey's experiences with Hove in the Powergen Junior Vase, can we be sure that if the OAs send a team the festival will actually go ahead?

I was interested to see your web site as my Father and his brothers (long since gone!) used to play for the OAs before WW2. I am currently Chairman of Hove RFC (Sussex 1). We are having an Easter Festival this year so if one of your teams fancies a trip to the sea and a game with us then please contact me. Kind regards Roger Finlason

Just a quick note to congratulate you on your triumph in the final at Twickenham. We're pleased at Ventnor that we went out to the eventual winners. Whilst a few of us were at Twickenham, we failed to catch any of your game due to a few distractions (bars) down on the river. If you would like to share in our hospitality again, let us know. I'm not a rugby union fan, I support that other local team Dulwich Hamlet Football Club. Just a line to say best wishes & good luck at Twickenham tomorrow! Bring the cup back to Dulwich! And are those pink shirts your kit or not? If not whose are they?
