Profile:Paul Kane has been an OA's player for the last four years, in which time he has been available for 16 matches. Plagued by injuries and contracted software work that overruns, we will again be without him until early June following a cruciate ligament injury sustained while training for the 1450 mile trans-Siberian triathlon. An excellent athlete, Paul excels at running, swimming, cycling, skiing, rugby, mountaineering and pushing 200 pound boulders up the Alps. Unfortunately, an injury sustained at birth prevents him from using any long vowel sounds. Negative responses for a run call usually come out as Ni, and frequently result in run-outs. As a result he runs for everything and has to be placed down the batting order away from the unfit engine room of Ryder, Ansbro, Khan and Norcross. A flamboyant stroke maker, handy first change bowler and fabulous outfielder, his return to the starting line-up is eagerly anticipated.
